Industrial Solar

Photovoltaic installations for companies and industrial plants with self-consumption, surplus management and integrated monitoring. The installation connects with operational data to give traceability between generation, consumption and production.

Industrial solar self-consumption: summary

Solar panels on an industrial building serve one purpose: covering the real consumption of the plant. That is why our industrial solar service starts from the load profile of the operation, not from the available roof surface. Two buildings with the same roof may need very different installations: a plant running two shifts on weekdays uses solar generation very differently from a cold-storage warehouse with constant demand. We study when and how the plant consumes energy, assess the industrial roof (structure, orientation, shading and access) and size the photovoltaic installation to maximise self-consumption, the generated energy the plant uses directly. Assembly and commissioning are planned to interfere as little as possible with production.

Surplus management is part of the design from the start: energy the plant does not consume can be handled through the surplus compensation mechanisms foreseen in Spanish self-consumption regulations. We also take care of the full paperwork, including the technical reports and electrical certificates each procedure requires, and we assess whether the project may fit regional support programmes such as those managed by IVACE in the Valencian Community.

The installation is delivered ready to be monitored and integrated with operational data, giving traceability between generation, consumption and production. That data layer is the basis of our connected energy management service. If your company is considering solar panels for its industrial facility, tell us about your activity and we will prepare a study adjusted to your consumption profile.

How it connects to the system

The energy layer connects to plant data via Connect and to interpretation and automation via AI.

Frequently asked questions

How is a solar installation sized for an industrial building?
Based on the real load profile of the plant, not just the available roof surface. We analyse when demand concentrates, how it varies with activity and what share can be covered by direct solar generation. On that basis we propose the capacity and configuration that maximise self-consumption, which is the energy that brings the most value to the company.
What happens to the energy the plant does not consume?
Surpluses can be handled through the compensation mechanisms foreseen in Spanish self-consumption regulations, so the energy fed into the grid is reflected in the electricity bill. We define the appropriate modality during the design phase and process it. With the installation monitored, you can also see when surpluses occur and whether it pays to adjust processes to make better use of solar hours.
Do you handle legalisation and technical documentation?
Yes. The service includes the full processing of the installation: technical report, electrical certificates and the documentation each body requires, until the installation is legalised and connected. That same documentation is usually required by self-consumption support programmes, such as those managed by IVACE in the Valencian Community, so preparing it well also makes the application easier.
How is your installation different from a conventional installer?
The difference is the integration with operational data. The installation is delivered ready to be monitored, so generation, consumption and production live in the same information layer. That gives real traceability: you can know what share of each shift is covered by photovoltaics and detect improvement opportunities, instead of checking generation in an isolated inverter app.
